Are you looking into your wedding stationary options? Don’t forget that you are not conjoined yet, so be sure to reserve the wedding stationary until the ceremony has officially completed.
That means, for all stationary letters that are delievered before the big day, use your own monogrammed stationary with your own initials and your real last name.
However, that does not mean that you don’t get to initialize shopping now! In fact, it is best to select your wedding stationary and set up an order it ahead of the big day. That way, when you come home from your dreamy honeymoon, you are prepared to get started with your thank you notes and there are utterly no delays.
Remember that hand writing your thank you notes by hand is an absolute must! There is simply no way to get around this one. If you invite 500 guests to your wedding, you are handwriting 500 thank you notes after the wedding. The fun doesn’t stop there, either.
It is in equally poor taste to write a generic note to all invitees as it would be to have your thank you notes published off. After all, your maid of honor went through much of challenging work to see that every last gift was accounted for and every last invitee would obtain the correct notes thanking them for their extraordinary wedding gift.
The proper way to write a thank you on your stationary is to address the beforehand names of the guests. Then thank them for their wedding gift, mentioning it by name. Finally, tell your friends and family how much you love the gift and how you intend to you it (or how you are already using it) in your new married abode.
As far as house addresses, it is up to you. No one will frown if you write the dwelling address by yourself. However, if you select a calligraphist, it always looks just right.
